Evaluasi Surveilans Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) Di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun 2020
Abstract
Tasikmalaya City is one of dengue endemic areas in West Java Province. The dengue cases in Tasikmalaya City experienced a significant increase in 2020 compared to 2019. The Incidence Rate in 2020 was 229 per 100,000 population and Case Fatality Rate is 1.42%. It indicates that the implementation dengue surveillance at Tasikmalaya City Health Office needs to be evaluated based on system approach. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the ongoing Dengue Surveillance system to find out the problems that occur at Tasikmalaya City Health Office so that priority problems can be set. This research is a qualitative study with an evaluation model. Surveillance officers were selected pusposively as informants. Primary data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews and observations. Secondary data was obtained through a study of documentation. Content analysis method is used as data analysis technique. The results of identification dengue surveillance in 2020 show that there are no expert epidemiologist (Master Degree), the process of dengue surveillance activities is still facing various problems, the Incidence Rate and Case Fatality Rate values have not reached the target. The problems faced are increasingly difficult to handle with the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has changed the focus of health workers both at Tasikmalaya City Health Office and at Puskesmas prioritizing overcoming Covid-19. The priority problems selected based on CARL method is delayed in reporting suspects, cases and larvae-free rates by Puskesmas. The implementation of dengue surveillance at Tasikmalaya City Health Office has not met the requirements of Indonesian Health Ministry Dengue Prevention and Control guidelines. The suggestions proposed are the implementation of weekly reports through Google Forms and regular meetings which are held weekly or monthly. This activity can reduce delays in reporting because the data is continuously updated so that dengue cases are reported more quickly.
